At Cafe By Kai, we pride ourselves on warm, attentive service in a bright, open space designed for comfort and ease. Whether you're taking a moment for yourself, meeting a friend or stepping out of the office for a break, it's the perfect spot to relax over specialty coffee crafted by our expert baristas and enjoy a freshly baked pastry, or something delicious to eat.
We partner with some of Australia's most respected producers, including ONA Coffee, Sonoma Bakery and Blackforest Smokehouse to bring you the very best quality.
Cafe By Kai is the creation of classically trained European chef Kai Ellmann, who also owns a multi-award-winning smokehouse tucked away in a Surry Hills laneway. Kai's career spans celebrated kitchens such as The Ritz London, where he cooked for members of the British Royal Family, to more than two decades as one of Australia's most sought-after food stylists.
